when melissa and family were in town (a week ago), we took the kids (sylvia, kirin, and max) to the children's museum at navy pier. the museum is big enough (and there are enough revolving exhibits) that we always find new things to do. shown here, the kids sculpted faces out of clay, and sylvia and i played chess. (they also spent some time digging in the paleontology room and exploring a new room of forts.)
