last weekend we drove out to goebbert's pumpkin patch in hampshire -- maybe an hour west of the city. it's basically a pumpkin patch theme park. there were so many highlights, i'm going to split this post into parts.
they have an enormous pumpkin-eating dinosaur, which crushes pumpkins in its jaws and shoots steam out of its nose -- and which talks in a deep, muted, unintelligible voice that makes the experience 500% more creepy and real. true or false, did the kids love it? (true.)
also, max took the first pony ride of his life. i wouldn't say he loved it, but he managed to brave his way through it. (although looking at the pictures now, he has retroactively decided that he did like it.)
